  1. Navigate to Business Services: Once you're logged into your InstantUploader account, locate the sidebar menu on your dashboard. Click on "Business Services" (). This is where you'll manage the services your business offers. The goal is to make it as simple as possible for your team to specify and document their work. This is crucial for enriching the platform with information about the work your company is producing.

  1. Search for Relevant Categories: Use the search bar to find relevant categories for your business. These categories represent your business categories as they might appear in your Google Business Profile. For example, if you run a roofing company, you might search for "Roofing Contractor."

  1. Add Relevant Categories: Most categories are fully configured and ready to go with related services, labels and tags (They've been pre-built for you). They're marked as "Configured" and you can simply click to "Add" them to your account.

  1. Add New Services: If your business offers unique services that aren't listed, you can create new ones. Select the category under which the services should be added and then type in their name at the bottom of the Service column and click on "Add." For example, if your business does "Balcony Inspections" or "ADU Construction", add these as new categories.

  1. Build Out Labels and Tags: Labels and tags are included with Configured categories and in most cases you can skip this step. However, if you add new services or want to expand on existing ones, you'll need to build them out manually. Labels are questions you want to ask about the service, and tags are the potential answers. For example, for an "ADU Construction" service, you might add a label like "Reason" and tags like "Extra Space", "For a Child", etc. This essentially builds a survey that takes place during and after a project.

  1. Save Your Changes: Once you've added all necessary categories, services, labels, and tags, click "Save". This will save all the changes you've made to your business services.

  2. Archive Unneeded Services: If there are categories or services you no longer provide, you can archive them. This will remove them from the options your team can select from, but the information will not be removed from past project documentations. This helps to keep your interface clutter-free and focused on the categories and services you currently offer.

  1. Edit Names of Categories and Services: If needed, you can edit the names of your categories and services. Simply click the "Edit" button next to the category or service you want to rename.

  1. Check Template Icons: For each service, there should be a Template Icon that is green. This indicates that a template for that service has been imported and is ready to use. If the Template Icon is red, it means the template hasn't been imported or created yet. You will be able to create it in a separate step.

Remember, configuring business services is usually a quick process. It only takes longer when certain categories haven't been built out, which is quite rare. However, InstantUploader is continually adding more functionality to speed up this process for you.

Create Templates: For most businesses, all you need to do is add the relevant categories. The templates for these categories will be automatically imported into your account upon saving your business services. If the Template Icon is red after you've added a category and services and saved your changes, you'll need to manually create the template, with just a click of a button, in the section of the Settings menu.
