Access the Widget Settings: After logging into your InstantUploader account, locate and click on the "Widget" option in the settings menu (https://app.instantuploader.com/settings/widget). This will take you to the settings for the chat widget.
Customize the Widget: In the Widget settings, you have the freedom to personalize your widget. You can give the widget a unique name that suits your business. Additionally, you can select a chat style that aligns with your brand's aesthetic. The default style is typically a good starting point, but feel free to explore other options. You can also choose the chat position on your website. It can either be on the bottom right or bottom left of the screen, depending on your preference.
Choose a Color for the Widget: Consistency in branding is important. To ensure your widget aligns with your brand colors, you can customize its color. To do this, inspect the color elements on your website and copy the color code. Paste this color code in the color setting for the widget. This will change the color of the widget to match your brand.
Add Your Company Brand: You can customize the branding of the chat widget. For example, you can make it say "Powered by [Your Company Name]" and link to your company's website. Alternatively, you can also disable this feature completely by hiding it.
Set up the Chatbot: The chatbot needs information about your business to effectively assist users. To provide this, copy your domain (without the HTTPS and the following backslash) into the 'Generate Corpus' field. This will seed the chatbot with initial information about your business. The process may take a few minutes as it searches the internet for relevant information.
Review and Edit the Generated Information: Once the corpus generation is complete, review the information generated by the chatbot. Make sure the company name, services, and other details are correct. If the information is incomplete or incorrect, you can manually edit it to provide the chatbot with accurate details about your business.
Configure the Conversation Purpose: The conversation purpose is the goal you want the chatbot to achieve. For example, you might want it to assist prospects in understanding their construction needs and schedule an appointment for a free estimate. Make sure this purpose aligns with your business goals. If it doesn't, you can edit it using natural language.
Add the Script to Your Website: To integrate the chat widget on your website, you need to add the script provided by InstantUploader to your website's footer code. If you're using WordPress, you can use a plugin like WP Code Light to easily add the script. Simply install and activate the plugin, then navigate to the global header and footer section. Scroll down to the footer and paste the script there.
Test the Widget: After adding the script, it's important to test the chat widget to ensure it's working correctly. Open your website in a new tab or incognito window to do this. The chat widget should pop up and initiate a conversation. If it doesn't, check the script and make sure it's correctly added to your website's footer.
Customize the Language: If your audience includes non-English speakers, you can set up the chatbot to converse in different languages. Users can select their preferred language by clicking on the flag icon in the chat widget. This makes your website more accessible to a diverse audience.
Set up Lead Email Notifications: To keep track of the leads generated by the chat widget, you can set up lead email notifications. Go to the Triggers settings in InstantUploader and select "Send lead email notification". When a lead is created, an email will be sent to the specified email address. This ensures you're immediately notified of potential customers.
Remember, the goal of using InstantUploader is to increase conversions on your website. This detailed guide should help you set up and customize your chat widget to achieve that goal.
